Planning a trip to Costa Rica but don’t know any Spanish? Have no fear, Im hear to share a few common Spanish phrases, resources, and learning aids. These tools and resources might not make you fluent in Spanish, but they might save you a few headaches down the road. I highly recommend taking the time to at least learn these basic phrases. If you will be traveling outside of Costa Rica to other Central and South American countries, I would suggest taking a crash course in Spanish. These types of classes are easy to find at local colleges or through out Costa Rica.
You may wonder how these simple common Spanish phrases will help you. Despite that you may not be fluent in Spanish, the combination of your limited Spanish skills and the universal language of pointing will go a long way.
