Hello Friends,

La Gran Vista is an educational “Farm School” located in San Isidro de El General, Costa Rica, where students, volunteers and visitors participate, learn and help.

We receive volunteers, students, environmental interns locally and abroad. Beyond individuals who come to the farm, EcoTour Organizations in Costa Rica and around the world send volunteer groups to La Gran Vista every year.

Most of the organizations we work with are volunteer groups, looking for programs that help with environmental education, such as at our farm.

We would like to know if your school or community would like to send volunteers for us to receive; our website is www.lagranvista.com. Please help us start a grassroots campaign, talk to your friends, family and co-workers to help us promote our mission and organization.

We offer a wide range of opportunities for all. From ideal opportunities for graduate students and researchers to extend their knowledge, pursue specific interests, complete field work or continue thesis material to undergraduate students who want to pursue a career in conservation, whom often need an internship experience, La Gran Vista is an excellent location to do so. Many volunteers have found time at La Gran Vista is an excellent way to verify an interest in a specific field. More than a place for students who would like to participate in experiential learning, La Gran Vista provides the chance for spring break groups to compete a project teaching them a great deal, aiding the local community, and spending time in a beautiful location. We host groups or individuals, for short periods or long, at any age. Moreover, La Gran Vista can provide excellent opportunities for gaining experience and making contacts at the outset of a professional career in conservation.

We believe the best way to preserve our Planet Earth is for everyone to become active and lend a helping hand to Mother Nature. We have major problems right now from greenhouse gasses causing climate change, to massive landfills that continue piling up, pesticides in our fruit, vegetables, and meat, and shortages of drinking water. No matter what town, country or continent you live on, we all live together under the same sun during the day and the stars and moon at night. If we all recognize the issues and change one bad habit at a time, it would make an enormous effect on the planet right away. We all have to do it together, so start today and join us in our struggle to change the course we are currently on.

Thank you for your help. We look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Kind Regards,

Donald

I went last year to Costa Rica and costarica-springbreak recommended I go to Tamarindo if what I was looking for was good parties and night life. They were absolutely right, this beach has it all.
