When to Go
The most popular time to visit Costa Rica is later November to late April. This is the time of year when Costa Rica weather is at its best. The beaches are sunny and full of surf and the rain forests a little less rainy. This perfect Costa Rica weather matches up perfectly with the winter months of other countries such as; Canada, the United States, and Great Britain.
Rainy Season
May through November is Costa Ricas rainy season. Also known as the “green season”, this time of year is when vegetation really flourishes. Don’t be put off by traveling during the rainy season. Costa Ricas weather this time of year isn’t as bad as some say. Most places in will get a few hours of rain during the middle of the day and be done with it. Of course there are places where it just rains constantly too.
