Manuel Antonio is the original eco-tourist destination in Costa Rica. It still remains to be one of the best adventure/ecotours areas, but its popularity is becoming evident. Prices here aren’t the only thing on the rise.

Hotels in Manuel Antonio easily reach the tree tops and can cost over $100 a night. If you are on a shoe string budget you may want to stay just outside of Manuel Antonio in the nearby town of Quepos. There are no real budget accommodations here. The cheapest thing around is a few cabins that cost around $20 – $30 a night.

Accommodation prices aside, Manuel Antonio is a postcard perfect location. Miles of pristine beaches are backed with steep and lushes rain forests. With so much to do here and more up-to-date accommodations, Manuel Antonio is an idea spot for family travel and adventure travel.
